Family Case Management

Family Case Management

Have an addict in the family? There's a solution.

Mental health issues, such as addiction, impact both individuals and their families. You may have a loved one struggling with addiction, wrestling with anxiety or other concerns. And after attempting different solutions, all you feel is hopelessness. The family system needs its own treatment as well – through family case management.

What is family case management?

Family case management is a step-by-step process to help families assess the impact of addiction on the family system and take steps toward healing.

What are the steps involved in family case management?

  • Before Treatment:
    • Kevin Petersen uses this time to explain alcoholism and addiction, the continuum of care from detox to outpatient therapy, and the intervention process.
  • During Treatment:
    • Kevin then helps you identify ways you can help your family member through his or her recovery from addiction..
  • After Treatment:
    • Working with the treatment center therapist, Kevin will help you create an action plan for integrating your loved one back into the family system.
