I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas and moved to Colorado in 2017. I earned a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor’s in Community, Family and Addiction Services from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado and have specialty training in EMDR, somatic psychotherapy and Energy Psychology. I’m experienced in various settings in the mental health field including outpatient and inpatient addiction treatment, community mental health, inpatient psychiatric care and crisis intervention with families facing domestic violence.
My deepest passion lies within guiding others through the journey of trauma healing and spiritual growth. If you often get lost within yourself wondering about the purpose and meaning of your life, how to overcome cycles of defeat, how to detach from pain of the past, contemplating who you are and who you want to become, or have a longing for expansion of your soul, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
Over the course of my personal and professional experience with recovery, I discovered a common theme in the human experience. We are all wounded in some capacity, we all search for meaning, we all develop behaviors to feel worthy and to establish a sense of safety, we all want to feel connected and we all ultimately desire to live free from pain. The reparative experiences we will create together will allow you to process events from the past and design a renewed lens to see the world through. We will emphasize the importance of removing traumatic and energetic blocks from your system in order to unlock the truest potential within you. My goals are to instill awareness of your inner guidance system, innate healing capabilities of the body, the role spirituality has in recovery from our pain and the power of the human mind. I’m a huge advocate of teaching you to find answers within yourself, to provide you with the tools to have a well-balanced life and to confront the obstacles that keep you stuck.
In my practice I utilize various conventional, alternative and holistic treatment modalities including: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Somatic Experiencing, meridian tapping (Emotional Freedom Techniques and Thought Field Therapy), Internal Family Systems (IFS), muscle testing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). We may also incorporate complementary tools in your treatment including Enneagram coaching, breath work, sound healing, meditation, energy balancing, aromatherapy, “earthing” techniques, Human Design, spiritual rituals and indigenous healing practices.
In my personal life, I live by the style of treatment asked of my clients in the therapy process. I find overall mind, body and spiritual health to be an essential value for healing and growth, as well as a beautiful way to exist. I work towards this through connection with nature, travel, journaling, creating art, reading, learning, curiosity, loving on my pups, spontaneity and connecting to my body through dance, Qigong, yoga, meditation, biking and hiking.
