I have many years of experience working with at risk adolescents and their families in day treatment and residential settings. I have also worked for the last 3 years at a mental health crisis center in Lakewood, meeting individuals who are experiencing extreme states of mind and ensuring their safety, and the safety of the community. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and received my Master’s Degree in Contemplative Psychotherapy from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. I incorporate mindfulness practices into an open, collaborative approach while helping individuals tap into their innate healing intelligence. I believe in the inherent, basic goodness all individuals possess. Through mindfulness techniques, I help clients relate differently to their depression and anxiety by helping them strengthen their capacity to stay present with difficult experiences rather than push them away. We would work together towards establishing comfort with the phenomenon of your own being.
I am filled with a ravenous curiosity of all things human, and transcendental. I love spending time with my family in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Whether it’s playing golf, camping, or hiking, I try to spend as much time as possible outdoors. When that’s not an option, I can usually be found with a book in hand, or listening to some good tunes. Come hang out, and let’s embrace this wild rollercoaster ride of life!
